Terry Evans, the infamous T-Mia, comes in off the road occaisionally, and sends along something that makes alot sense. With the spring just around the corner, you might be thinking about organizing an IBMWR event or happening. If that's the case, take the time to read the following.
This is important and will save you a lot of trouble and insure the success of your event.

History has shown with at least two prior prezzes meetings that some people were someplace and the others another. I see this as a potential for DVD as there are 3 Campgrounds and 2+ Hotels & Motels. -Establish Friday, Saturday and Sunday meetings and plans. It really hurts to has _even_ one person say "I was near but didn't know everybody was there" -Look out for one another: It hurts even worse to say at say dinner after everyone was at the afternoon ride, for example, "hey, where's Roozbeh?". Unless you know "Roozbeh said he was going back to the Motel/campsite - consider him lost. It's sooo bad when someone says the next day, "I really didn't know the plans, and I spent last night by myself"
Lastly and most important...
If it hasn't been done already, advise the (one) campsite, dinner
places, local Chamber of Commerce, local P.D. the mayor etc. Of your coming
and your presence. The Codename should be simple: THE IBMWR or the INTERNET
BMW. They should be reminded that we are not just bikerscum and we are "yuppie
professional BMW motorcycle riders coming in on over $1/4 Million worth of
German motorcycles to your community and dropping about $100 per day per
person in the community's coffiers
....and if you don't already belong, jump over to the offical home pages
of the Internet BMW Riders and
learn how you can join the fastest growing BMW motorcycle organization in
the world.
If you would like to find out how you can get something listed on
a "IBMWR
Happenings" page email the
